Bangladesh Institute of Research and Training on Applied Nutrition (BIRTAN), is an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Agriculture.
In order to ensure safe and necessary balanced diet, BIRTAN is conducting research on food-based nutrition (developmental nutrition) and training programs for the development of nutrition level of the people.
They are also providing nutrition training with a view to create increasing awareness about nutrition.
Activities are continuing in the process of fulfilling nutritional needs related to the nutritional requirements, nutritional knowledge and necessity of the outdoor vegetable gardens.Through the Amar Pushti apps, the general public will be aware of food-based nutrition, acquire knowledge of balanced foods, and determine the nutritional status and this app will help in the development of nutritional levels of the masses by increasing the levels of knowledge related to nutrients.
